Brother of Gen (r) Bajwa terminated as PIA deputy station manager in Birmingham

KARACHI – The Pakistan International Airlines has Iqbal Javed Bajwa as its deputy station manager in Birmingham over fake educational certificate.

A spokesperson of the national carrier said Iqbal Javed, who is brother for former Chief of Army Staff Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, was asked to resign from the post after the Lahore board declared his FA certificate fake. He has since resigned from his position.

The PIA spokesperson stated that Iqbal Javed Bajwa was issued a show-cause notice on July 30 by the PIA Finance Manager in Birmingham.

Reports said Iqbal Javed Bajwa joined PIA’s Rawalpindi office in 1977 and acquired British citizenship at the end of the 1980s.

Following the British citizenship, he had adjusted his employment with PIA accordingly.
