Three patients recover from monkeypox in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR – Three patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have recovered from monkeypox as their PCR tests have come back negative.

Dr. Irshad Roghani, Director of Public Health, said the three mpox patients were being treated at the Police Services Hospital and now have have recovered.

The patients, who hail from Peshawar, Orakzai, and Nowshera, no longer showed symptoms of the disease and have been cleared through follow-up PCR tests.

The timely isolation of these individuals helped in preventing the spread of the disease, the health official said in a statement . ”

KP Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah has welcomed the recovery of the three Monkeypox patients in the province.

He stated that the health department has effectively limited the spread of Monkeypox in a short span of period.

The emergency measures taken under the Provincial Outbreak Response Committee are commendable, and routine immunization has also significantly improved within the past two months, the minister said.
