Step foundation organizes joint wedding ceremony of 50 couples

SUKKUR – A joint wedding ceremony of fifty couples belonging to poor families was organized at Sukkur with the collaboration of “Step Foundation” to help the lower strata of society live their lives with satisfaction and ecstasy.

Fifty brides and grooms from impoverished families gathered together to tie the knot in a joint ceremony organized by the welfare foundation to help those who aren’t able to afford the traditionally lavish marriage events.

On the occasion, chairperson of the Step Foundation, Shaista Khoso said that it was a great pleasure to see the happiness of wedding on the faces of all couples.

The organizers of the joint wedding ceremony presented dowry including home appliances and jewelry to the brides and some cash to the grooms as salami and also arranged a feast for 3,500 people.

Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Deedar Ali Jatoi and leader of Grand Democratic Alliance, Mohammad Ali Shaikh attended the ceremony as chief guests.
