Trouble brewing for Salman Khan, may be booked for assault, robbery

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Even as the 2002 hit-and-run case is under trial, fresh trouble seems to be brewing for Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

A complaint has been filed against the Dabangg star alleging that the actor abused and assaulted Ravindra Dwivedi when he was trying to board a flight on November 4, 2014.

In his complaint, Dwivedi has alleged that Salman Khan also asked his body guards to snatch the documents he had. Indian Express quoted Dwivedi as saying Salman’s bodyguards snatched all the important case papers relating to the death of senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde from his possession. Dwivedi is a member of Brashtachaar Nirmoolan Samiti.

A court in Andheri, on Tuesday, asked airport police to register an FIR under causing hurt (IPC section 323), insult with intention to provoke breach of peace (IPC section 504) and criminal intimidation (IPC section 506) and robbery (IPC section 392 ) against Salman Khan in the matter. “Concerned police officer of airport police Station is hereby directed to investigate the matter and file their report at the earliest,” observed Magistrate AD Lokhande in a recently passed order.

Dwivedi said in the complaint that the airport police refused to register a case when he tried to approach them.
