RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – The funeral prayers of Mansehra helicopter crash martyrs were held today (Saturday) at Chaklala, Rawalpindi.
According to an ISPR statement, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and a large number of serving and retired officers, relatives and people from all walks of life attended the funeral prayers.
The team was traveling to the northern city of Gilgit from Rawalpindi to evacuate a sick soldier.
12 Army personnel, including five Majors, were killed in the Army Aviation MI-17 helicopter crash near Lassan Nawab area of Mansehra Thursday evening.

The helicopter was carrying an eight member medical team of Pakistan Army to join the ongoing rescue operation in flood hit areas of Gilgit, but it suddenly went down due to bad weather.
