Bollywood actor Vir Das wishes to do work in Pakistan

MUMBAI – Actor-comedian Vir Das says he would love to do a show in Pakistan, adding he has never been offered one. The Badmaash Company actor tweeted on Sunday: “I am just going to put this out there because I get asked it a lot. Yes, I’d love to do a show in Pakistan. Never been offered one. Pakistani popular comedian Ali Gul Pur replied to Das’s tweet, warmly welcoming the Indian comedian to Pakistan and hoping to do a show together:

The Delhi Belly star keeps touring for stand-up shows across the globe. He has received positive reviews for his latest Netflix stand-up comedy special ‘Losing It’, and has bagged another project on the online streaming platform.

Vir Das is not only a comedian but a musician and an actor also. After beginning a career in standup comedy, Das moved to Hindi cinema starring in films like Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone.

In 2017, he entered the international stage with his Netflix special Abroad Understanding. Das has performed in approximately 35 plays, over 100 stand-up comedy shows, eight TV shows, movie, and six comedy specials. He has written comedic columns for Femina, Maxim, Exotica, DNA and Tehelka.

On the work front, he will soon start shooting for the sequel of the 2013 zombie comedy film Go Goa Gone.
