LAHORE – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Circle, acting on a tipoff from a sensitive agency, on Sunday dismantled a major international human trafficking ring involving Indian and Afghan nationals.
The gang was connected to individuals seeking political asylum in various countries, receiving continued support from the group.
According to the FIA, the traffickers ran a sophisticated printing press, producing counterfeit documents for multiple countries. These fake papers were used to lure vulnerable individuals with false promises of overseas employment.
The FIA’s investigation is ongoing, with further arrests expected as authorities uncover the full scope of the network’s operations.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi hailed the operation as a landmark achievement, noting the network’s ties to global criminal organizations.
Naqvi praised the efforts of the Intelligence Agency and FIA Lahore, calling the operation a crucial milestone in Pakistan’s fight against human trafficking.
