President Mamnoon summons NA session on August 13

ISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain approved the summary moved by Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk on Thursday suggesting the President to summon the session of the National Assembly (NA) on August 13.

Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Nasirul Mulk had formally forwarded a summary to President Mamnoon Hussain, suggesting to summon the session of the National Assembly (NA) on August 13.

On the first day, the new elected members of NA will take the oath of their office. This will be followed by the elections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and then the leader of the house.

Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Law, Barrister Ali Zafar said it was also expected that sessions of all the provincial assemblies would also be called on the same dates.

PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said today that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s numbers in National Assembly has crossed 180 after the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) announced its support.

Addressing media in Islamabad, Fawad Chaudhry said that party is still not decisive about Imran Khan’s stay after becoming prime minister.
