KARACHI – Gold witnessed a downward trend during first session of the new business week on Monday in line with dropping global prices.
Data shared by All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the per tola price decreased by Rs1,100 to settle at Rs260,400, whereas, the price of 10-gram plunged by Rs943 to reach Rs223,251.
In international market, the price of the precious commodity decreased by $7 to close at $2,490 per ounce.

On Saturday, gold rates in Pakistan witnessed a drop of around Rs2,000 per tola to Rs261,500 in line with international market prices.
The price for 10 grams of bullion came down by Rs1,714, now standing at Rs224,194.
