ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will Monday lay foundation stone of two power plants in Tharparkar, Sindh.
According to Divisional Commission Mirpur Khas Shafiq Ahmed Mehasar, the power plants are part of Thar coal plants and will produce 660 megawatt electricity.
He said the power plants have been installed at Thar Coal Block-II at one hundred acre land near Butra village.
The Sindh government spokesman said that around 15,000 megawatt electricity will be generated from Thar Coal till 2025 and in this regard the work on Thar Coal has been accelerated with the support of federal government.
