LAHORE – Daachi is founded by an architect named Ayesha Noorani, who aims to promote artworks of craftsmen from all over Pakistan. It is a step to revive cultural activities in Pakistan and we feel that it is a much needed initiative.
The exhibition had 160 stalls that were selling arts and crafts from all over Pakistan, instead of the usual art displays it was displaying local crafting skills and was very informative for the public that visited and got information about the crafting from the seller himself.
This included handicratfs, artifacts, textiles, paintings etc
We really hope to see more initiatives like these!
