ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan and Afghanistan are all set to jointly host ‘Heart of Asia Conference’ on December 7 in Islamabad.
The conference is expected to take up the proposed peace process in Afghanistan and other matters related to regional cooperation.
According to spokesman of Pakistani foreign office Qazi Khalilullah, 14 members and 17 non-member countries have been invited to the event. Prime Minister’s special adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz and Afghan foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbai have sent joint invitations to all countries including India.
Another seventeen regional and global organisations have also been invited to attend the conference.
