LAHORE – The government of Punjab is taking new measures to help students commute freely, and the latest groundbreaking initiative aimed at helping orphaned students to get new bikes,

The new initiative is part of a larger effort to provide students with the option to purchase two wheelers through interest-free installment plans. The program is overseen by Ahmad Javed Qazi, Secretary of Transport.

Transport Secretary Ahmad Javed Qazi recently chaired a steering committee meeting to evaluate and enhance the advanced motorcycle delivery scheme for students. The session focused on reviewing the program and considering improvements to its execution.

The directions come in light with Prime Minister’s recent announcement, with initiative to provide free motorcycles to orphaned students has officially launched in Punjab. To facilitate the process, booths have been set up at 11 universities to assist students with tasks such as opening bank accounts and completing necessary paperwork.

Interest-Free Bikes Installment Plans

To further help students, the program includes an option for purchasing motorcycles via interest-free installment plans. This measure is designed to alleviate financial pressures and facilitate greater mobility.

How to Apply

Colleges and universities will soon roll out designated booths for the program. The application process has been streamlined for efficiency. For additional details and application instructions, students should visit the booths at their universities.
