Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam Urs to start from Saturday in Multan

MULTAN - Three-day annual Urs celebrations of Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam (RA) will start in the city from Saturday (tomorrow).

The custodian of the shrine, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will inaugurate the 705th urs ceremony by giving a bath (ghusal) to the shrine. A large number of devotees from every part of the country would attend the urs.

Arrangements were being made to accommodate the devotees at the nearby schools and colleges.

The urs would continue till Jan 14. A meeting in this regard was held with Deputy Commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik in the chair to review arrangements for the urs.

KARACHI - The price of a single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan is Rs 207,700 on Thursday.The price of 10 grams of 24k gold was recorded at Rs178,070.

Likewise, 10 grams of 22k gold were being traded for Rs163,624 while a single tola of 22-karat gold was being sold at Rs 190,880.
