KARACHI (Staff Report) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reiterated that minorities’ rights will be protected at all cost.
“Pakistan is the motherland of all its inhabitants, irrespective of their caste, creed, or faith,” the prime minister said while addressing a Diwali ceremony on Wednesday during his day-long tour to the port city.
Nawaz Sharif said he did not believe in religious discrimination. “Every Pakistani has equal rights,” said the PM while stressing the need for promoting religious harmony in the country.
He said the government would protect the oppressed irrespective of one’s religious alignment.
The PM also announced establishment of Bhagat Kanwar Ram Medical Complex in Hyderabad and renovation of Baba Gurdwara Nankana Sahib.
