MUMBAI – Anil Mehta, the father of Indian actor and model Malaika Arora, has ended his life, reportedly by suicide after jumping from a high rise building on Wednesday morning.
Police found no suicide note from his room or site as the motive behind Anil’s extreme move remains under the wraps amid investigations.
Malaika, who reportedly shares close relationship with father, was away when the incident occurred. Cops told media that the incident was reported at half past ten.
Apparently, it seems to be a case of suicide, but investigators are probing the incident from all angles. A process to file an accidental death report is on,” the officer from Bandra police said.
Malaika earlier sheds light about her early life experiences. She mentioned her challenging childhood, particularly after her parents’ separation when she was minor, calling it disturnign phase. She also mentioend how these difficult times taught her the importance of self-reliance and independence, shaping her approach to life and work.
