NA speaker issues production orders for PTI MNAs

ISLAMABAD – National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday issued production orders for the arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq issued production orders for 10 arrested PTI members: Sher Afzal Marwat, Amir Dogar, Ahmed Chatta, Zain Qureshi, Zubair Khan, Waqas Akram Sheikh, Owais Haider, Ahad Ali Shah, Naseem Ali Shah, and Yousuf Khan.

The production orders instruct that the police must deliver the detained members to the Sergeant-at-Arms before the session begins, and they will be returned to police custody after the session ends.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar also confirmed this, stating that the Speaker of the National Assembly has issued production orders for the detained MNAs, and all members will attend the session tomorrow.

Additionally, the NA speaker formed a four-member fact-finding committee to investigate the September 9 incident.

The committee will be chaired by the Additional Secretary, with Joint Secretary Arshad Ali and Rizwan Ullah also included.

Sources revealed that the acting Sergeant-at-Arms, Raja Farhat Abbas, is also part of the committee.

The committee will review the causes of the September 9 incident, how and why police and security agencies were allowed to enter Parliament, and will present a report after assessing all these factors.
