Renowned Pakistani showbiz host and actress Nadia Khan has issued a clarification after breaking the news about actress Hiba Bukhari’s pregnancy.
A few days ago, during a TV show, Nadia Khan revealed that Hiba Bukhari and her husband, actor Arez Ahmed, are expecting a baby soon.
Hiba Bukhari and Arez Ahmed had kept the pregnancy news private from social media, and when Nadia Khan broke the couple’s private news on a TV channel, social media users heavily criticized her.
The critics said that if Hiba Bukhari and Arez Ahmed wanted to keep their personal matters away from the media, why would you reveal their private news on television?
While Hiba Bukhari and Arez Ahmed have remained silent about the pregnancy news, Nadia Khan has hit back at the critics.
In her clarification, Nadia Khan stated, “I was working on a drama with Arez Ahmed, and during the shoot, he shared the good news about Hiba’s pregnancy.”
She added, “Both Arez Ahmed and Hiba Bukhari are very good friends of mine. Arez and I have had many conversations on the set.”
The actress further said, “When Arez shared the pregnancy news, he didn’t once tell me to keep it to myself, nor did he say it was a secret. If he had asked me to keep it private, I would have, as I already hold many secrets of people in the industry.”
Nadia Khan explained, “People often tell me not to share certain things, and I never do. But Arez didn’t ask me anything like that.”
She added, “If it were a secret, Arez wouldn’t have told me, knowing that I host a TV show where such things might slip out.”
Nadia Khan further said, “This is not something new; some time has passed, and my intention was never to break anyone’s news, but just to share good wishes with the couple.”
It is worth noting that Hiba Bukhari married fellow actor Arez Ahmed in 2022.
