ISLAMABAD – Dr Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al-Juhany, one of the imams at the Holy Kaaba, led Friday prayers in Faisal Mosque in the federal capital after giving a sermon.
Dr Al-Juhany arrived in Islamabad on a seven-day visit on Thursday. Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Tahir Ashrafi welcomed the distinguished guest, who will attend the Paigham-e-Islam Conference on Saturday.
He will also meet Pakistan leadership today, the Radio Pakistan reported.
The visitor will also attend a seminar in International Islamic University during his stay.
Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al-Juhany will also go to Lahore where he will lead prayers in Badshahi Masjid.
He will return home on April 17.
