Hajj training of pilgrims to start from July 21

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony would start countrywide Hajj training programmes of intending pilgrims of Government Hajj Scheme from July 21, after Eid-ul-Fitr, said an official of the Ministry.

Talking to APP, he said comprehensive training programmes of intending pilgrims would enable them to perform Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia in light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The training programmes would continue for over one month.

He said the focus of the programmes would be the first time of performing Hajj rituals. The training would be imparted with the help of modules, charts, maps, sketches, lectures and television.

The Ministry has already started the process of acquiring 80,000 informative booklets and 80,000 video CDs for onward distribution among the intending pilgrims free of charge.

The training also covers how to wear `Ahram’ and observe sanctity of the holy places besides performing rituals at Madina and manners of offering prayers at Masjid e Nabvi and `Salam’ at `Roza e Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him),” he added.
