KARACHI – The Sindh government has announced the “Sasti Basti” project for the middle class families.
Syed Najmi Alam, Adviser to the Sindh chief minister for Human Settlement Authority, Livestock, and Fisheries, chaired the Human Settlement Authority’s annual budget meeting on Thursday, stating that the goal of the Sasti Basti project is to provide affordable housing for the middle class.
He mentioned that the project has been approved to help the poor of Sindh build their own homes, along with the approval to recruit demolition squads to remove encroachments in the province’s slums.
Najmi Alam said the project is named “Sasti Basti” and is aligned with the vision of their party chairman, Bilawal Bhutto.
The meeting also approved the annual budget and minutes from the previous session, with attendance from provincial assembly members Muhammad Yousuf Baloch, Arooba Rabani, Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Shoro, Sukkur Mayor Barrister Arsalan Shaikh, and other governing body members.
