DUBAI – Pakistan’s star opener Fakhar Zaman and bowler Shadab Khan achieved career-high rankings in the latest ICC one-day international (ODI) rankings.
Fakhar jumped six places to no number 11 in the rankings after his exceptional performance with the bat against in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand.
The 28-year-old finished the series with scores of 88 and 65.
On the other hand, leg-spinner Shadab who bagged six wickets in the series, including four for 38 in the second match, vaulted 16 places to number 24 in the bowlers’ rankings.
Pakistan’s teenage bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi, who took nine wickets in the series and won the player of the series award, rocketed 66 places to sit just outside the top-100 in 118th position.
Fast bowler Hassan Ali, who started 2018, at the top of the bowlers ranking continued to slide. After falling three places following his four wickets, Hasan remains Pakistan’s top-ranked bowler despite his number 13 ranking.
