LAHORE – An 8-year-old girl allegedly died due to torture by her stepmother in the Shalimar Housing Scheme area of Baghbanpura.
Lahore police reported that signs of abuse were found on the body of the deceased, Muskan, and that her father had remarried a woman named Amina.
The police have taken the girl’s father and stepmother into custody, and according to neighbors, Muskan’s death is suspected to be caused by the stepmother’s abuse.
Authorities have collected evidence from the scene, and the body has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem examination.
The detained couple is being questioned from various angles.
