Morning show receives backlash for using fair skinned models to portray dark complexions

KARACHI – A morning show ‘Jago PAKISTAN Jago’ that broadcasts on HUMTV is receiving severe backlash for an attempt to show that dark complexion is beautiful by using on fair skinned models for portrayal.

‘Mera Makeup Hai Kamaal’  segment of HUMTVJPJ (Day 3) took the ask of challenging makeup artists to show that dark complexions can be as beautiful as fair skin. Models with fair complexion were made dark by the use of makeup and then were made to walk on ramp to prove the point.

This however received criticism from public on the basis that the portrayal was biased and if the sentiments of the show were honest, they should have used dark skinned models for an appropriate reaction.
