Babar Azam, Pakistan’s former captain, received a flood of birthday wishes from his peers on social media as he turned 30.
Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi took to Instagram to wish him, referring to Babar by his nickname. “Happy Birthday, Bobby! Wishing you a great year ahead,” he wrote.
Notably, Shaheen Afridi is one of Pakistan’s premier bowlers.
Additionally, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan highlighted his friendship with Babar, sharing a picture of them holding their jerseys together. “Happy birthday @babarazam. May you have a great year on and off the field. Everyone knows your batting class,” Shadab posted.
Haris Rauf, another fast bowler, also showed his love for the 30-year-old by posting a celebratory photo with Babar. “Tusi great hoooo. Happy Birthday, brother,” he wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf were not included in the lineup announced for Pakistan’s second Test against England in Multan.
