PESHAWAR – At least 17 students were killed and several others injured after the roof of a school collapsed in Peshawar on Thursday morning.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Dir Colony near College Road, leaving students and teachers trapped beneath the rubble.
Rescue officials said more than 20 people had been shifted to hospital following the incident. Both students and teachers were among those injured in the collapse.

Rescue teams launched an operation to remove the debris and search for people feared trapped underneath.
The cause of the roof collapse was not immediately known.
