Saudi Arabia to establish new media center for Hajj coverage

RIYADH – Saudi Arabian government has announced to set up a new media center to facilitate the foreign journalists covering the Hajj pilgrimage next year.

Minister of Culture and Information Dr Adel Al-Turaifi said the Arafat sermon was covered by 70 Arab and foreign channels this year.

He said over 250 journalists and reporters from across the world covered the Hajj rituals and one thousand reporters aired live coverage on the ground for transmitting the true image of Hajj to the entire world.

He said the Farsi Channel also translated Arabic into Persian including news and sent out a clear message that the Kingdom does not have any problems with Iranian pilgrims and will always welcome them.
