South Africa Women Beat Pakistan By 10 Runs In First T20 Match

MULTAN – South Africa women’s team defeated Pakistan by 10 runs in the first T20 match at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a target of 133 runs, Pakistan’s team managed to score 122 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Pakistan lost their first 5 wickets for just 47 runs before Aliya Riaz and captain Fatima Sana put up a responsible partnership.

Despite their efforts, they couldn’t lead the team to victory. Aliya Riaz remained unbeaten on 52, while Fatima Sana scored 37 not out.

Earlier, Pakistan’s captain Fatima Sana won the toss and chose to field first. South Africa posted 132/4 in their 20 overs, with Tazmin Brits top-scoring with 56 runs.

For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal took 3 wickets, and Nida Dar claimed one.

The remaining two matches of the three-match T20 series will also be played in Multan on September 18 and 20.
