Nescafe Basement is considered to be one of the top music platforms for young and aspiring musicians to showcase their talent and win appreciation from the general public. Nescafe basement has given some very big stars to music industry in the past. Bands like Soch were produced under this platform. Its 3 season have gone on air in Pakistan and has gained huge popularity.
Nescafe basement has now launched season 4. The launch event was held in a local restaurant in Lahore. The event was attended by a number of popular faces from the music fraternity and entertainment industry. It was hosted by RJ Sophie. The event was organized by the JbnJaws Productions.
Xulfi Jabbar, the main mentor and man behind Nescafe Basement expressed his gratitude to musicians for their hard work and dedication. He also appreciated the young talent participating in this season. This season has around 45 participants, way more than previous events.
The event was opened with two songs from this season, Jadoo ka Chiraaagh by Awaz and Mukhre Toh Nazran Hatawan by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. They were covered by the young musicians, who owned the song with their unique renditions. The second cover was particularly appreciated because of the use of unusual musical instruments, like the flute, which was introduced into the symphony to breathe new life into the well-loved tune.
The Noori brothers, Ali Noor and Ali Hamza, were also present at the event and praised Jabbar for his dedication to not only producing quality music but also his passion for teaching and nurturing new musical talent.
Designer Munib Nawaz and director Bilal Lashari followed suit, both paying homage to Jabbar and his dedication to the industry. Nawaz also offered the entire lot a free makeover, should they opt for one. Musicians Nabeel Shaukat and Nouman Javed were also present on the event. They also exchanged words with Xulfi and young lot.
The banter was followed by food and live performances of Mukhre Toh and Tere Ishq Mein by Nescafe Basement musicians, both of which were thoroughly appreciated by the audience.
All in all it was a pleasant launch event. The season will be on air on all main channels of Pakistan and is anticipated to be the better then all previous seasons. We can’t wait to see the season to be on air.
