KARACHI – The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday imposed a regulatory duty on more than 700 imported items.
According to the notification, the duty tax has been slapped on 731 items imported by Pakistani traders from foreign countries with the approval of minister in-charge.

The revenue authority has imposed duties on diapers, cosmetics, shampoo, perfumes, tomato paste, chocolates, dairy items, dogs feed, vehicles and other items.
Tax experts are of the view that such measures have been taken to curtail import of luxury items.
