Pakistan to back Palestine for WTO observer status

NAIROBI (APP) – Pakistan has assured Palestine government of unconditional support in getting an observer status at World Trade Organisasation (WTO).

According to a statement the Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan held a meeting with Palestine’s Minister for National Economy Ms. Abeer Odeh on the sidelines of 10th WTO Ministerial Conference in Nairobi, Kenya.

Khurram Dastgir also met his Malaysian counterpart Mustafa Muhammad and discussed Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

During his meeting with Thailand’s Vice Minister for Commerce Winchai Chaemchaeng on the sidelines of conference, they agreed to speed up the process of negotiations on FTA between the two countries.

The minister also held meetings with the participating ministers of Germany, Turkey, Rwanda and Agricultural Facilitator of the Conference and exchanged views on WTO negotiations and bilateral trade.
