Comsats Pro-Rector removed from service

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Haroon Rashid, pro-rector of Comsats institute of Information Technology was sacked from his position on Friday on account of his plagiarized PhD thesis.

The decision came after Haroon Rashid failed to appear before the board of governors meeting twice to clarify his position. With this decision, Rashid is also likely to be removed from the National Testing Service (NTS) which he was heading as Chief Executive Officer.

Earlier on June 6, Preston University’s Academic Council cancelled the PhD degree of Rashid.

Haroon Rashid lives in the United States nowadays.
