Asia Cup 2018: Hong Kong restrict India to 285 as Dhawan scores ton

DUBAI – Defending champions India piled up a big total of 285 runs for seven wickets against minnows Hong Kong in Group A match of the Asia Cup 2018 here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Shikhar Dhawan’s 127 guided India to 285 runs in the Asia Cup opener in Dubai International Stadium against Hong Kong.

Sent into bat by Hong Kong captain Anshuman Rath, Indian batsmen availed the opportunity as practice for facing their arch-rivals Pakistan tomorrow at the same ground.

Earlier, Hong Kong won the toss and put India to bat first in their Group A match of the Asia Cup being played at the Dubai Stadium.

Hong Kong lost their opening match against Pakistan and will be eliminated from the tournament if they lose to India.

India being captained by Rohit Sharma in the absence of Virat Kohli will play Pakistan on Wednesday.
