LAHORE (Kamran Akram) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, who is currently busy in battling harassment allegations levelled by Ayesha Gulalai, has been recently caught up in another controversy.
Pictures circulating on social media that shows PTI chief with Zartaj Gul Wazir at his residence has fuelled speculations regarding the ‘relationship’ between the two politicians.
However, contrary to rumours being disseminated on social media, the pictures – that date back to last year – were taken when Zartaj Gul visited Bani Gala with her husband Akhwand Hamayoun Khan to congratulate the party chief on his marriage with Reham Khan.
When contacted, Wazir repudiated the rumours and shared pictures of the said event to substantiate her claims.
Wazir said that she had visited the newly married couple with her husband to extend well wishes in the presence of other personalities including actress Attiqa Odho and Reham Khan’s sister.
Terming it a propaganda by political rivals, Wazir said that “Imran Khan did not require a certificate for his decency.”
“I am being targeted for giving hard-hitting statements regarding Ayesha Gulalai’s harassment allegations,” she said, adding that other female members of the party were also being targeted through similar propagandist tactics.
