LAHORE – Horror is a genre that can easily become comedy for viewers if it is not done right. Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House is a Netflix original and a small-screen adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s classic novel, with an impressive 90% on the Tomatometer with 49 reviews.
The trailer promises a tale of endless twists and chaos and that is exactly what it delivers. The show is set in two different times, one shows the childhood of the five children and their parents and the other setting shows their adulthood times with their estranged father and with memories of their dead mother.

Legendary horror author Stephen King took to Twitter to heap praise on the series, writing: “I don’t usually care for this kind of revisionism, but this is great. Close to a work of genius, really. I think Shirley Jackson would approve, but who knows for sure.”
Spoiler Alert: the twist that involves the bent-neck lady is just mind-blowing and we are not even exaggerating one bit!
The Hill House is as creepy as it can get. The children are adorable and the adults are mysteries waiting to be solved. The finale has gotten all the things right and we bet the show will be on your mind way later since it’s end.
