HYDERABAD (Web Desk) – An engineering student committed suicide due to ragging by his seniors at an Indian college in Chennai.
Krishna Chaitanya hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his house at Allapur society in Kukatpally town of Hyderabad on Friday, NDTV reported on Friday.
The 19-year-old’s parents broke the door of his room when he did not come out for a long time and found him hanging.
In the suicide note recovered by the police, he wrote that ragging by his seniors forced him to take the extreme step.
Chaitanya also wrote that some students of third year were harassing him.
