RIYADH (Web Desk) – Although it might sound unrealistic but Saudi Crown Prince has claimed that Saudi Arabia has welcomed 2.5 million Syrians since the beginning of the crisis.
Speaking at the World Summit on Refugees in New York on Monday, Mohammed bin Naif expressed that in addition to these 2.5 million, the Kingdom has provided full support to the countries that are hosting Syrian refugees.
Shedding light on the role of Kingdom to provide humanitarian assistance, Prince Mohammed said Saudi Arabia has given around $139 billion over the past forty years.
The crown prince went on to claim the Kingdom is offering free education to around 285,000 Yemeni students.
“We continue to work with international organizations for the welfare of refugees, the refugee crisis required action by all those responsible to unite efforts and minimize the humanitarian impact” Prince Naif said.
