Lahore (Web Desk) – Shaan-e-Pakistan’s second installment, Kya Dilli, Kya Lahore kicked off with a musical night comprising of Indian and Pakistani artists including Sounds of Kolachi, Coke studio sensations Mai Dhai and Asrar, Indian band Shivam and one of Bollywood’s most accomplished singers, Rekha Bhardwaj (Kabira, Namak, Tere Ishq Mein). The musical evening Ek Shaam Dosti Kay Naam is to be followed by a full day fashion and lifestyle exhibition and eventually will conclude with a fashion show on the third day showcasing a mix of designers from both countries.
The evening was attended by legendary Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman, Pakistani music sensations Atif Aslam, Ali Sethi, Fariha Pervaiz, Hadiqa Kiani, Nauman Javed, Mustafa Zahid, Shiraz Uppal, Amanat Ali, Nabeel Shaukat Ali, Junaid Khan and producer Saad Sultan. Indeed Shaan-e-Pakistan’s Indian culinary chef Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, celebrated singer RekhaBhardvaj (Kabira, Namak, Tere Ishq Mein) and legendary Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman will be representing the Indian delegates at all three days of the event.
Day 1 (Sunday 20th March 2016) hosted a musical & culinary evening ‘Eik Shaam Dosti Kay Naam’ hosted by VJ Andy from India and Anoushey Ashraf from Pakistan and featured musical performances by artists Rekha Bhardvaj and Shivam band from India and Asrar, Mai Dhaiand Sounds of Kolachi from Pakistan.
An initiative by Huma Nassr of Braahtii, Shaan-e-Pakistan serves as a platform for Indian and Pakistani fashion and lifestyle talent to showcase their craft on a unified stage as a means to create further awareness of the cultural prowess of the Subcontinent and to strengthen the bond between the two countries.
