New study reveals sexually-adventurous lifestyle in United Kingdom

LONDON (Web Desk) – A new scientific study in UK reveals that ten previous sexual partners are perceived as ‘ideal’.

The study explains why people feel comfortable with that exact number for their significant other.

Both men and women see 10 lovers as optimal, according to a poll carried out by Britain’s largest extra-marital dating site Illicit Encounters, RT reported.

People answered how many sexual partners they would want a new partner to have had.

And Brits, men and women alike, voted eight to 12 in the majority of cases, 38 percent of women and 37 percent of men. Then within that group they chose the number 10 as the preferred number of ex-lovers.

So this poll also suggests that people with more than 10 past partners are seen as promiscuous, while those with fewer are viewed as inexperienced. However jump to any number above 20 and you will land you in the ‘suspicious’ league and turn-off potential partners.

Women also proved more eager to know about their new partner’s previous sex life than men: 35 percent against 30.

Spokesman for Illicit Encounters Christian Grant said this indicates a shift to a more sexually-adventurous lifestyle.

“If we had conducted this poll 10 years ago, men would have expected a potential partner to have slept with far fewer people.” Grant said.
