LISBON – Portuguese star footballer Christiano Ronaldo has released a heart-wrenching video message to children in war-torn Syria declaring them ‘heroes’.
Ronaldo told Syrian kid he is with them during their plight. The video message starts with: “Hello, this is for children of Syria, We know that you have been suffering a lot.”

“I am a very famous player, but you are the true heroes,” said Ronaldo in a brief heart felt message.
“Don’t lose your hope, the world is with you. We care about you. I am with you,” the message concluded.
It is relevant to mention that Syria is continuously under hostility from 2011 and scores of children have been affected during the civil war.
Two iconic pictures featuring three-year-old Alan Kurdi lying dead on shore and Omran Daqneesh cleaning blood from his face jolted the international community to mull over resolution of long-standing issues.
