KARACHI (Staff Report) – Sindh Rangers arrested as many as 365 people involved in different events of hides snatching on first day of Eid-ul-Azha.
The arrests have been made from Karachi, Haiderabad, Nawabshah and other cities of Interior Sindh.
Out of these 365 arrested people 96 are said to be associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), while 61 workers of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) and 58 activists of Suni Tehreek were also held by paramilitary force.
According to Rangers the personnel have also recovered the snatched hides during the raids.
Meanwhile MQM leader Farooq Sattar has blamed Rangers for not allowing their workers to collect hides of sacrificial animals for Khidmat-e-Khalaq Foundation (KKF). Rangers ‘snatched’ more than 60,000 hides from MQM workers on first day of Eid, he claimed.
Sattar also announced that MQM has immediately stopped its hides collection operation as a protest against discriminatory behavior of Sindh Rangers.
