Five people in a shooting at Shahpur ‘dera’ in the Chung neighbourhood of here on Friday.
According to the police, the victims were sitting at Haji Shahzad Awan’s “dera” when some attackers emerged out of nowhere and started shooting.
Due to their severe gunshot injuries, the five individuals passed away instantly. Furthermore, Abubakar, a five-year-old kid, sustained injuries in this event. The accused managed to escape from the scene after the incident.
Following up on leads, the police arrived at the scene, seized control of the bodies, and shifted them to a mortuary for a post-mortem.
The police and forensic teams gathered evidence from the crime scene. The police speculated that it may be their long-standing enmity, but a comprehensive investigation would determine the true cause of the occurrence.
Malik Mustafa (55), Hafiz Murtaza (50), Malik Khadim (65), Fahad (18), and Ali Husnain have been identified as the deceased individuals. To apprehend the accused parties in this event, police are conducting searches.
