ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has extended good wishes for the people, leadership and the government of China on the start of the Lunar New Year being celebrated in China, Radio Pakistan reported.
In his message of felicitation, he stated that China and Pakistan enjoyed strong friendship and biletral relations, adding that the two countries’ partnership under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove a historic milestone in their bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister conveyed good wishes on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
The New Year, which officially starts on Saturday, is China’s main annual holiday and is traditionally observed with the display of fireworks and countless firecrackers.
According to the Chinese zodiac, people born in the Year of the Rooster are brave, responsible and punctual.
