Forceful anti-India, pro-freedom rallies held in IHK

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) – In occupied Kashmir, forceful anti-India and pro-freedom protest rallies were held on Wednesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS) the rallies were held in Srinagar, Gandarbal, Badgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Islamabad,Bandipora Shopian, Pulwama and other districts.

Men, women and children defied curfew and other restrictions that continued to remain in force on the 82nd day, today, came out of their houses and held freedom marches.

Call for the march was given by the joint Hurriyet leadership. Pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans were raised and Pakistani flags were hoisted at many places.

Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi led a protest rally at Battamaloo in Srinagar. Many people were injured when Indian forces fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesters.

The armed personnel barged into many houses, beat up inmates and ransacked household items in Badgam and Islamabad districts.

Meanwhile, a speedy vehicle of Indian army deliberately hit and killed a civilian at Khanabal in Islamabad, district, today.
