Complete shutdown observed in Indian Occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) – In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was followed across the Valley on the 83rd consecutive day today, with Indian forces deployed in force in Srinagar and other divisions of the territory to prevent anti-India protests and mass meetings.

Main markets, public transport and other lines were set aside, while educational institutions remained closed.

The joint resistance leadership comprising the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement extended the call for shutdown till 6th of next month.

They appealed to the people to hold a march from the entire occupied territory towards Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Friday.

The illegally-detained APHC General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement in Srinagar said that despite India’s propaganda the world leadership was keenly watching the state of affairs in Kashmir. He thanked Pakistan for its successful diplomatic support to the Kashmir movement.

The Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet forum in a statement expressed strong concern over the negative propaganda by Indian government and media to create war hysteria between Pakistan and India.
