KABUL – In eastern Afghanistan, at least 15 civilians have been killed and another thirteen wounded in a U.S. drone strike in Achin district of Nangarhar province.
The US yet remains to comment on the incident, however, the human rights monitor confirmed the civilian casualties.
Following the drone attack, the United Nations reiterates the need for all parties to the conflict to adhere to their obligations under international humanitarian law and called for an independent investigation into the incident of civilian casualties.
