ISLAMABAD – German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler has become something of a heartthrob for millions of Pakistanis after he praised truck art in his tweets.
Earlier Martin had got his bicycle painted in truck art patterns by a local artist in Rawalpindi and now the diplomat has taken three more to the same shop.
Trucks are not only used for the objects delivery purposes but in the South Asian region, which includes Afghanistan and Pakistan, trucks are also decorated with bright paints, mirrors, bells, chains, motifs, glittery sheets, stickers, battery-operated lights, small bells, jangling chains, beadwork, and woodwork.

As he said in a tweet, his children and sisters loved the vibrant display of colors so much that they wanted to have it done on their bikes as well. The ambassador, who seeks out opportunities to promote the Pakistani culture, has once again tweeted about his love for the truck art.
