Mushk Kaleem expresses gratitude towards Italian designer for paying homage to Pakistan

LAHORE- Pakistani models Mushk Kaleem and Alicia Khan are set to walk the ramp at Milan Fashion Week. Together, both models are going to be seen at MFW on the evening of September 21st, walking for Italy’s up and coming designers, Stella Jean.

Kaleem took to her Instagram to share the details of her exciting opportunity and why it matters to the Pakistani fashion industry. “I feel so immensely honoured and proud to represent Pakistan at the Milan Fashion 2019,” she wrote.

“I’ve been given this unbelievable opportunity to work with Stella Jean, who collaborated with UNIDO, and paid heartfelt homage to our culture by infusing the embroidery done by women of Pakistan in the northern areas as an essential part of her collection, also paired with jewellery by Sherezad,” Kaleem revealed.

Kaleem went on to share the importance of the collection as it will be showcasing Pakistani designs internationally.”None of this would have been possible without Zahir Rahimtoola, who has bent over backwards to make this dream become a reality, that will go down in history as one of the most defining moments of our fashion industry!”

The two models were selected for the illustrious fashion week after Jean visited Pakistan earlier this year. The designer had met with government officials and particularly observed the craft intrinsic to the north.
