Imran wants resignation of NADRA chief, provincial ECP heads

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has demanded resignation of NADRA and provincial heads of Election Commission of Pakistan, saying that they had failed to verify rigging in NA-122.

Talking to media after a meeting of the party’s central advisory council on Sunday, he the ECP and NADRA officials were involved in rigging in 2013 elections. Imran Khan demanded criminal cases registered against ECP members after NA-122 verdict.

Earlier, Imran Khan summoned a meeting of the party’s central advisory council to deliberate on the PTI’s future course of action after an election tribunal de-seated National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and ordered re-polling in his NA-122 constituency.

PTI spokesman Naeemul Haq said that the meeting, chaired by Khan and attended by the party’s central and top leadership in all provinces reviewed the prevailing political situation in the country and decide on its future strategy.
