LAHORE (Staff Report) – While Pakistan Ulma Council (PUC) Chairman Moulana Tahir Ashrafi is in Makkah to perform Hajj a private news channel reported that he has been arrested by Islamabad Police for carrying alcohol.
According to a ‘Breaking News’ of Neo News Ashrafi was rushed to police station immediately after his arrest however authorities allowed him to walk away upon interference of a media person. “Police has recovered bottle of liquor from vehicle of Tahir Ashrafi,” the news channel claimed.
However the ‘Breaking News’ turned out to be completely fake when PUC chief took it to micro-blogging website to rebut the report saying “I am in Makkah and it is enough to prove them as fake”.
